Daijou-in Jinson gechijou

(An Edict of Jinson of Daijou-in)
Height, 33.7cm., width 54.2cm.; choshi, paper made from fibers of mulberry trees (kouzo), mounted as single scroll; dated 11th day of the 2nd month of Kousei 3 (1457).

The monogram at the beginning of document is the written seal of the abbot of Koufukuji temple and head of Monzeki cloister Daijou-in, Jinson. Jinson's edict concerns what Zenshun was to do in the dispute between the Komparu and kongou over who was to play the waki noh for the Shun-sarugaku at Kouhukuji temple.
